Masterwood launches improved after-care package

Recognising how vital it is to avoid down-time, CNC machining centre specialist Masterwood has introduced MasterCare Plus, a totally new concept in technical support.


Masterwood has launched MasterCare Plus, a new concept in technical support for users of its panel and joinery CNC machining centres.

Customers who sign up to a service contract for their Masterwood machine will have two software programs, Skype and Log Me In, which provide a range of important benefits, installed free of charge.

With Skype software customers can talk on line to technical support staff in the UK or at the Masterwood S.p.A factory in Italy, and also receive software upgrades, without incurring any telephone charges.

Log Me In remote control software allows technical support staff in Italy to connect directly to the machine so that they can investigate and rectify the fault that is occurring.

All the customer needs is a telephone line, an ISP service provider and have Windows XP-2000 as an operating system.

Chris Alexander, technical director of Masterwood After Care, part of Masterwood (UK), said: "We are taking advantage of the latest communications methods to deliver a host of major benefits to our customers. The two free software installations we are offering will maximise efficiency by minimising machine down-time, including a reduction in the number of site visits required by a technician."
